I have read nowhere near enough books set in South America though, so I was very happy about this, and I think that it definitely added to the uniqueness of the story. I had such an interesting experience with Not Even Bones! My first impression was that I was completely surprised that the setting was a real place (South America), considering that I expected all of the settings in the book to be completely fictional. Now she’s going to do a lot of bad deeds to get it all back.
